Literacy Resources
A+ Schools is proud to partner with OpenLiteracy to bring you video tutorials and reading resources related to Building Phonetic Skills, Phonological Awareness, and Reading Comprehension.
Out-of-school Time Resources
The United Way of Southwestern PA and Allegheny Partners for Out-of-school Time (APOST) have created BridgetoLearn.org, a resource guide that connects families to childcare and education planning tools, out-of-school time programs, regional resources for reading, the arts, outdoor programs, food distributions, and more.
Additionally, the United Way's 2-1-1 resource navigators can help connect individuals and families with food pantries, health care services, tax prep assistance, utility and eviction prevention assistance and more. Those seeking help should dial 2-1-1, text their zip code to 898-211, or visit PA211sw.org.
Parent/Guardian Toolkit
GreatSchools.org has a wide range of resources for parents, including learning resources during COVID. Check out their website or these Parent Guides for Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.
